Rules for Monthly Photo Contest

• Enter either one or two prints per topic.

• Each entry costs a quarter ($.25).

• Pictures do not need to be mounted or matted- just the picture.

• Pictures should be no larger than 8 X 10 or slightly larger. Image size can be smaller within the overall print size.

• Each pictures should have the name of the photographer on the back.

• To enter a picture, simply slip the print into one of the numbered  plastic protectors and drop quarters into the cup.

GENERAL CRITERIA: The picture has not been altered in PhotoShop or other editing programs to either add or delete items. Other edits such as cropping, sharpening, enhancing contrast, increasing color saturation, ect. are acceptable as these have analogous procedures in film development and printing in a darkroom. The one exception (so far) is that portraits may have wrinkles lines and zits removed or decreased and still fall into the general topic.

CREATIVE TOPIC: for now, members having photographs that have been altered in a editing program (PhotoShop/Paintshop Pro/Gimp)  please bring the print and be prepared to describe what techniques you used to produce the photograph.
